About this deal

This is a subjective list, to be honest. Some of these must-have items might fall under the nice-to-have category for some. Faced with Cheerios, its performance is disappointing, and it merely pushes the cereal around, so you'll be better off sweeping up with a broom. But for all other materials, the vacuum does an easy and thorough job. There is the cordless Henry for cylinder vacuum lovers, and for the upright fans that want to go cordless, there is the Vac Air Cordless Lift. This is not only the best cordless vacuum for hard floors, but it also ranks very high to the top of the list of best overall. What’s really good is the special motor provides consistent cleaning power right up until it’s full and needs emptying so there’s no drop off in cleaning. All cordless vacs need regular emptying but some tend to start strong and fade as they fill up.

Though if you prefer a bagless vacuum you might be disappointed in needing to buy bags, the fact is you won’t be buying them often. The cordless Henry boasts a mighty 9 litres of cylinder for dust. When you’re on a budget you have to accept that you’re not going to get as good a product. Not necessarily a bad product, but certainly not as good. Well, in the early days of cordless vacuums, you may have needed to keep a high pace when hoovering to avoid being left with a dirty house after the battery died.

Includes free toolkit

The Hoover OnePWR HEPA+ vacuum has all the advantages of a trusty bagged vacuum cleaner: large cleaning head, large dust bag capacity, and powerful suction that easily takes on high-pile carpet and rug. First, 40 minutes of run time is impressive for any cordless vacuum, nevermind one for the price. That is on normal power. The battery time is reduced at high, but still boasts an impressive 25 minutes of hoovering at full speed. It’s a bit bulky so doesn’t do a great job at getting right into corners and there’s no hose so you’ll need to brush out with a brush, maybe your hand or even your foot to get debris out of corners under cabinets and such in the kitchen. If you’re dealing with pet hair then you need a better vacuum cleaner, and a Dyson is always going to be a great choice for that. Is using a cordless vacuum cleaner a race to see which finishes first? Who will win? The battery or the dirty carpet?

Pros: Quiet, cleans well on all surfaces, less tiring to use because dust bin is located at the base of vacuum, large dust bin Before I get into what the best cordless vacuum to buy is, I’ll take a bit to explain what to look for in a cordless vacuum so you can figure out what the best one is for you. The price tag may put it out of reach for some, but you do get what you pay for. The motor is long-lasting, so look at it as an investment that will pay dividends for years to come and you will be satisfied. It comes with a great range of attachments: a crevice tool, a multi surface dusting tool, a dedicated pet tool and an accessory bag. My favourite bit was the hinge in the middle, which allows you to bend the vacuum under sofas, cupboards and other harder to reach places, and also folds completely in half for storage. One battery lasts 60 minutes meaning I could comfortably vacuum my entire flat in one go, though if you have a bigger house you might consider investing in the double battery version.
