keeping it real

“A view just gives us a glimpse of our next destination - our next target. But to hit that target, we must come off the mountain, go through the valley, and begin to climb the next slope. It is in the valley that we slog through the lush grass and rich soil, learning and becoming what enables us to summit life's next peak.”
Andy Andrews, The Noticer

  1. Yep we've had the same 3 weeks of rain, turning our patch very 'muddy'!

Still, thinking of miss 4's smile lighting up the day, till sun's sunny-shine comes out our way :~) x

  4. Exhaustion, cake and flab, uggh--definitely all connected--Sweets just look and taste better when I am tired and stressed. It still helps though :). Really hoping that sleep returns to you Mon, and your girl feels better and better. Those coughs are horrible, that's all I hear around hear lately.
That game sounds wonderful, just the kind of medicine a tired mama needs.
Wishing you more sunshine for the weekend.

  7. mmmmmmm cake. my husband's birthday was a few weeks back and I made my first three layer cake for him. and there's just the 2 of us grown ups here and our 2 year old who isn't much into sweets. so. so we ate a lot of cake that week (ha- no way it lasted a week, probably 2 days is more accurate, really) because that's the only way I know of to get it to stop staring me in the face ;) found you through ^ (habit of being) and happy to join in!

And that 'in limbo' stage of leaving but not yet moving must be hard.

    1. a kiss between us creates an imaginary heart (size of which dependent on size of kiss) that floats into the air above us. :D
